US SIZING DEFAULT
All Yardlow & Sons boots are sized in US whole numbers. We offer US 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 on select lasts. Half sizes are not offered at launch.
UK CONVERSION
US runs one number higher than UK.
- US 7 = UK 6
- US 8 = UK 7
- US 9 = UK 8
- US 10 = UK 9
- US 11 = UK 10
- US 12 = UK 11
- US 13 = UK 12
FIT PER LAST
The last is the wooden form a boot is built around. We use four:
- Hampton last (Hampton black chelsea, Atelier sand chukka). Rounded toe box. True to size on a medium foot.
- Wessex last (Yardlow cognac suede chelsea). Slightly slimmer than Hampton. True to size on a medium foot.
- Mercer last (Mercer cap-toe oxford boot). Narrower through the waist. True to size on a narrow-medium foot — size up if you are between.
- Drover last (Northam moc toe). More volume in the toe box. Allow extra room for thick wool socks in winter.
USE A BRANNOCK
If you have access to a Brannock device (the metal foot-measuring tool at any shoe store), use it. If not, measure your foot heel-to-toe in inches with a ruler against a wall.
- 9 1/4 inches = US 7
- 9 5/8 inches = US 8
- 10 inches = US 9
- 10 3/8 inches = US 10
- 10 3/4 inches = US 11
- 11 1/8 inches = US 12
- 11 1/2 inches = US 13
Between sizes? Size up. These boots break in tight, not loose.

Free first exchange on every pair. Order the size you think fits, walk indoors for an evening, and if it is wrong we swap it at no cost. Sizing should be honest and the first try rarely is.
