These are the terms for shopping at yardlowandsons.com. Direct, plain reading. Browsing the site or placing an order means you agree to what is set out below.

Who you are agreeing with

"We", "us", and "our" mean Yardlow & Sons Co., a US-based men's footwear business. "You" is the visitor or customer browsing the catalog or placing an order. Contact: support@yardlowandsons.com.

Acceptance

Use the site, sign up for the newsletter, or place an order, and you agree to these terms in their current form. Disagree, and the right thing to do is not use the site. We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top tells you when the current version went live.

Eligibility and accounts

You need to be at least 18 to place an order, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. Account information has to be accurate. The password is yours to keep. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If something looks wrong, write to us and we will help.

Orders, prices, and our right to refuse

Every price on the site is in US dollars. The price is the price the boot is worth on the day it is listed. We do not stage anchor pricing. We do not pretend a $169 derby was once $469.

An order placed online is an offer to buy. We accept it when the boots ship. Until then, we reserve the right to decline an order for an honest reason: stock running out between workshops, a pricing error caught in time, an undeliverable address, or signs of fraud. If we decline, we refund the charge in full and we tell you why.

Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Sales tax is added where required by US state law and shown at checkout. Payment is captured at the time the order is placed. Card data is handled by Shopify Payments and Stripe under PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance and never sits on our own servers.

Shipping

We ship to all 50 US states and DC. Free shipping on orders over $129. Orders are processed in 2 to 4 business days from the bench and arrive in 7 to 12 business days standard. The full shipping policy lives on the shipping page on this site and forms part of these terms by reference.

Returns and exchanges

Boots can be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are unworn and in their original box. Boots worn outside, gift cards, and final-sale items are not eligible. Size exchanges are offered within the 30-day window. The first size exchange is free. The full returns policy lives on the returns page on this site.

Intellectual property

The Yardlow & Sons name, the wordmark, the photography, the catalog copy, and the design of every last and pattern in the catalog belong to Yardlow & Sons Co. Sharing a photograph on social with credit is fine. Copying the catalog, scraping product data, or using our photography in another store, on a marketplace listing, or in a paid ad, requires written permission.

User content and reviews

If you leave a review, post a photograph tagged to the brand, or send us a message we publish on social, you grant Yardlow & Sons Co. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content in our marketing, on the site, and in our emails. The copyright stays yours. The permission to use it is what you give us. You promise the content is yours to share and does not violate anyone else's rights.

What you cannot do on the site

Do not buy from us to resell on a marketplace without permission. Do not scrape the catalog. Do not run automated requests at the site. Do not attempt to break the security of the platform. Do not commit fraud. Doing any of these gives us the right to cancel orders, close accounts, and take whatever further action the law allows.

Disclaimer of warranties

We work hard to describe each boot accurately. Calf leather varies grain to grain. The same last reads slightly different across two pairs cut from different hides. Screen colors are not perfect. The catalog is offered "as is". To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except where statute makes that impossible.

Limitation of liability

If something goes wrong and we are at fault, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, except where law forbids that limit. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else the law says cannot be limited.

Indemnification

If your misuse of the site or breach of these terms creates a claim against Yardlow & Sons Co., you agree to defend and hold us harmless against the reasonable costs of dealing with that claim, except to the extent the claim arose from our own conduct.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, where Yardlow & Sons Co. is organized. If you live in another US state, the consumer protections of your home state still apply to you and nothing here takes them away.

Disputes

Problem comes up, write to us first at support@yardlowandsons.com. Most disputes resolve over email within a week. If a dispute cannot be resolved that way, both sides agree to binding arbitration in Delaware under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You may opt out of this arbitration clause within 30 days of your first order by writing to us with the words "ARBITRATION OPT-OUT" in the subject line.

Severability and entire agreement

If any clause of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms, together with the privacy, shipping, and returns policies, are the entire agreement between us about the site and your order.
